While I believe it is important to aim for a non-materialistic lifestyle, and to avoid getting trapped in the snare of late-stage capitalism...
I like stuff.
Cool stuff. High quality, storied items that serve a purpose in my life, and will be used to the ends of their useful lifespan. I am always excited to get a new item in my collection, and I enjoy when people share their E[very] D[ay] C[arry] online. Here is mine:
In My Pockets [EDC]
These three items [along with a pen or two, and perhaps a knife] come with me always!
- iPhone 13 Mini Green -- A nice, compact phone [I fried battery health with a fast charger]
- Walleye Leather Wallet -- A trusty and unique wallet. 7 years of edc and going strong!
- Homemade "Field Notes" style notebooks -- Little thought-catchers I like to whip up myself with some paper and a stapler.
Computer Gear
As this is a computer-based project, it would be fitting to share my setup.
- M1 MacBook Air, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD -- This trusty, well stickered laptop has been fufilling my computer needs since early 2021.
- Asus ProArt Monitor 24" -- This monitor nicely expands my MacBook display for a better experience!
- Apple Wired Keyboard -- From a 2011 iMac
Stationary
I'm a sucker for writing and craft supplies. Here are some of my favourites/fanciest.
- TWSBI Eco [F] -- My first proper fountain pen.
- Lamy Safari [M] -- The second installment in my fountain pen collection!
- trodat printy 4810 -- A date stamp, which provides an incredibly satisfying expreience.
- Swingline 747 [red] -- A glorious shiny stapler. Picture the most attractive, flamboyant, and capable person you know, then picure them as a stapler. Bam. Red 747.
